Kierikki Stone Age Centre is one of the world's largest log houses and an excellent example of modern log architecture. Built in Yli-Ii along the northern banks of the river Iijoki this unique hotel and the Stone Age village are situated in the middle of an expansive Stone Age settlement area, which was inhabited as far back as 7,000 years ago. Kierikki Restaurant is located in the heart of Kierikki Stone Age Centre's main building and due to the ancient wooden construction exudes a medieval atmosphere that creates a prehistoric mood. In the summer relax on the terrace facing the river Iijoki and listen to birds singing and the lapping of the waves. At Kierikki's shop you can buy Stone Age style handicrafts. Each room has a balcony facing the pond.
